SocialMedia8 develops social media marketing strategy for LG

LG Electronics Netherlands, leading manufacturer of consumer electronics and computer products, teamed up with social media marketing agency SocialMedia8, subsidiary of WPP?s GroupM (NASDAQ: WPPGY) and Grupo LaComunidad.

After winning the pitch and enjoying an intensive collaboration, SocialMedia8 developed a long-term social media marketing strategy for LG, based on new consumer insights. In this strategy the activation of ?Life?s Good?, the different LG product divisions, Customer Service and CRM play a central role.

Nicole Rosanella, Brand & Communications Manager LG Electronics Benelux explains: ?The purpose of using social media marketing besides traditional marketing is to activate the LG brand and to focus on a more content-driven and engagement model, so we can start a dialogue with the various LG target audiences.?

IgorBeuker, founder of SocialMedia8, about the cooperation: ?Intensive social media monitoring research revealed important new insights on LG and its competition. In the strategy we developed, different social channels, like Twitter, YouTube and Facebook all contribute in their own way to the realisation of LG?s brand and business objectives?.

The recently launched social channels are a YouTube Brand Channel, Twitter News with an online newsroom, Twitter Webcare and a Facebook fanpage with 3 tabs, a custom Content Management and CRM system.
